The amount of info on the web is enormous, as anyone who's ever tried to run a
search can attest to. And, to put it all in context, best estimates say
that only a fraction, maybe 20 - 40 % of what's out there is actually making its
way to the search engines. Well ... Here
at DownStreet, we'd like to try to help. So each issue, we post a

Of course, while we can't vouch for the fact that every link we provide will be
of interest to everyone, we do our best to filter out the noise and the
bustle. ... . What

been affected -- not in terms of how many books are being sold, but which
books are being sold -- by the attacks and the War on Terrorism? In
order to get at the info, we visited the three top on-line sites for best seller

Of course, the lists vary in format from one to the other.
The Times, for example, doesn't mix fiction with nonfiction or advice and
how-to, while both Amazon and Barnes & Noble do, though the latter do allow
you to see separate lists for each category, as well as more specific lists,
too. ... In any case, here's what we found when we searched for ... | What
