Bird's Eye View of Bristol
By rights, this Best of the School Year entry could just as readily have gone in Computers & Tech, or Learning & Ed., or, for that matter, Arts & Craft. Intended to allow students to demonstrate both a range of knowledge and a variety of competencies, it's also an opportunity for them to show their best work. ... And for Lindsay, who will be attending UVM to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering in the Fall, it seems like she not only thought she'd put her best foot forward, but get a head start on that degree, as well. ... The project -- a 3-D topo of Bristol -- made use of a laminated construction technique to layer successive altitudes. ... Needless to say {only because we have a couple of pictures to show you, see below}, the amount of effort and attention to detail that went into her project is pretty phenomenal. We'll leave you here now to get a close up of this great project and pick out your own details. The photos below link to larger images. Simply click on them.
