There are at least two things that are indisputably good about shopping at local farmers markets or farmstands, as well as the pick-your-own's that are scattered about.  First, there's the 'fresh' in the fresh food.  Add to that the fact that it's one easy and delicious way to support local agriculture.  ... 

As if that weren't enough, here's also no telling who you might bump into, or what sort of food or craft might show up.  So ...

{...  Do you really need coaxing about this sort of thing?  ...}

What fare you can find at these local outdoor markets and stands, not to mention the orchards and fields where you can pick your own  ...  well, you're just not likely to find anything close in your average supermarket.  That alone should be enough to get you off your duff and out for a visit to the one nearest you.  ... or, if you're going to be out for a drive anyway, you may want to check out the markets, farmstands, or pick-your-own's in some neighboring towns.  ...

Either way, you're in for some treats.  ...
