The
Staff at DownStreet ... Vermont's Community
Magazine Our Staff, in
Alphabetical Order … Lou Colasanti, Editor Lou
has been a resident of Bristol for more than 25 years. Over what seems like
several lifetimes, he has worked as a night watchman, a physician's Assistant, a
social worker, a community development grant writer, and, for nearly 20 years,
as a member of a college faculty & administration. He has published
various poems & short stories in several obscure quarterlies, and, for more
than a decade, has been working in the computer & internet world. He owns
and runs Fern Hill Services, which provides computer consulting, web
development, and publishes on-line content, including DownStreet and ScheduleC.com. Gola
di Montagni, Advisor Gola di Montagni had been our
advice columnist from Volume I, No. She is leaving us now to pursue what
we would ordinarily call "other interests," but which she asked us to
identify more specifically as what seems to her to be "her
fate." This, therefore, will be her last listing among our
staff. We truly appreciate the work she did while she was with us and wish
her all the best in her new-found calling. Horselvaryd
Harselskyd, Roving Reporter Known hereabouts as
"Horse," Horselvaryd came to us quite unexpectedly, and from quite a
distance. Despite his short time among us, 'Horse' has become a reasonably
proficient master of the English language, certainly far more proficient than we
have become with his native tongue. In any case, Horse's assignments usually
derive from his lack of familiarity with our culture. In other words, he notices
something which strikes him as curious, and he then sets about an intensive
campaign to, literally, come to terms with it. {Note: Horse has been
back home this winter, but we expect him to rejoin us next issue.} Aaron
Wisniewski, Graphic Artist & Roving Reporter Aaron is an
exceptional graphic artist and a roving reporter for DownStreet. He
is with us in both capacities until he ships off for Savannah College of Art
& Design this fall Laura Wisniewski, Associate Editor Laura
is a yoga therapist and a Jewish Mother. She covers primarily the Arts
and Health beats for DownStreet, although she has been gracious enough to
go to bat as a designated hitter on just about any assignment. Laura is also a
closet poet who lives in Hinesburg. She has taught writing and literature at
several colleges in the area and now owns and directs Beecher Hill Yoga. If
