Spring Schedule: 
   The H.S. Track & Field Meet at Middlebury College
      Colchester, Montpelier, Mt. Abe, Rice, Vergennes & Winooski

Don't know if it's still true, but when I was in high school, Track & Field didn't have the following that baseball and other Spring Sports managed to attract.  If so, that's too bad.  ...

Track & Field, aside from being the oldest continuous sporting events, with their roots in the Greek Olympics, also provide the most variety.  That's true not only because of the differences between the track and the field events.  It's true within each of these.  The sprint races are a different breed of event from the distance events.  The shot put and the javelin and the discus are worlds apart.  And the high jump and the pole vault are in worlds of their own. ...  There's also the beauty and grace of Track & Field events that are more readily visible than in other sports.  ...  If you don't believe us, then check out this month's photos of ...
