. Some
Prayers for Mamma Louise, plus ... Food & Dining
Back Issues | Mamma
Louise |
If you've been
following Mamma Louise in her kitchen, then you know that, despite her long
years, she seems to be tireless. Still, even the heartiest of us succumb
once in a while to the vagaries of illness, and so it is this month with Mamma
Louise. Thank God, it's nothing serious. But she's
on her third go-round with a bug that first had her lay down -- something she
doesn't do readily -- some six weeks ago. And just when she thought she
had it licked, back it came ... and now again. So, she was in no condition
to be taking on her column for this month. We ask, then,
that you say a little prayer for Mamma Louise for a speedy recovery. We're
sure she'll be fine {and so is she}, but every thought and prayer counts.
... Meanwhile, we thought we'd run a list of Food & Dining articles
from out Back Issues, because even though we now reach more than 1,250
households a month, that first month, there were a mere 163 of you. It's
almost inevitable, then, that some of you missed something along the way. But
before we do that, let us start with a prayer for Mamma Louise: Your
tireless devotion to family & food, and your generosity, are only part of
what make you a lovely woman. We wish you a quick and simple recovery,
and we look forward to next month, when we can again get a taste from Mamma
Louise's Kitchen. ...
