& Home Links to House & Home On-Line . Links
to House & Home On-Line The
amount of info on the web is enormous, as anyone who's ever tried to run a
search can attest to. And, to put it all in context, best estimates say
that only a fraction, maybe 20 - 40 % of what's out there is actually making its
way to the search engines. Well ...
Here at DownStreet, we'd like to try to help. So each issue, we
post a few links in House & Home to sites that might interest you.
Sometimes the links will be related to one another ... sometimes
we'll just offer up a somewhat random sampling. In either case, we think
we might be able to help you find the kind of site you've been looking for.
Of course, while we can't vouch for the fact that every link we provide will be
of interest to everyone, we do our best to filter out the noise and the
bustle. ... Help

all you have to do is wind your way through a project from start to finish. No
problem. This month's Links to House & Home On-Line will hook you up
to some simple shelving & storage solutions that'll get you in and out in no
time. ... Finally, in the spirit of some of our other links pages
this month, we're going to forego the reviews and ratings so we can offer up
more than our usual 3 links. Ok? Ok ... Let's go. HomeStore.com

otherwise, you could waste valuable time you could be spending on your
project trying to find them. ... . Making
Wide Plywood Shelves: Like we side, if you want the full
10", or more, ripping some 3/4" plywood may be your best. Constructing

project. Creative
Storage Solutions: Aimed at apartment dwellers and free-standing
cabinets, there may still be some ideas here for the house hound, too. Shelf
It!: Good overview of materials, brackets, hanging, and
more. Steps
in Building a Shed: Alright. Maybe we're getting a
little carried away here. But if you need the extra room, you need
the extra room, right!?! .
Wood
shelving: How to make decorative track-bracket shelves This
one's from Curt Burbick and Avian Rogers of the Do-It-Yourself show
that airs on some PBS stations. ... The interesting part of this
project is the 'reverse' shelving system for use with tracks. A few
more steps, but a lot nicer looking. . .Shelving
& Storage: Tips, Advice & Projects from TrueValue This
is TrueValue's contribution to the topic. The main project is adding
shelves to cabinet doors. But there are links to other storage &
shelving projects, too. . Installing
a Shelf --from InsideSpaces.com This is as easy as it gets.
... And to think, it has pictures, too. . The
most popular sites about home building -- from HomePopular Ok.
Let's suppose you haven't found anything among the sites we've
offered. Then let us recommend this site, which has taken the time to
devote itself entirely to listing the most popular sites on the net for
various things home-related. This link, obviously, takes you to their
building list of the top 100. ... Happy hunting. . TodaysHomeowner.com
... Finally, a short list of pieces on shelves, storage, attic
remodeling and more from the folks at TodaysHomeowner.com. Some are
very brief; but others provide some details and links to other resources: .
That's it for this
issue. Good luck. . *******
