The
Vermont
Farm Show 2001 was held this year on January 23rd-25th, over the ridge at
the Barre Civic Center. Folks who've visited our magazine in
the last couple of month's may have seen our preview
of the Show. ... But now comes the real news -- the winners of
the various contests which the Vermont Farm Show sponsors each year. For
those not already familiar, the Contests include a number of contests in several
major areas, including: Home Products, Home Product Specialties, Honey,
Christmas Trees, Wreaths, Apples, Eggs, Vegetables, Handspun Fibers, Silage,
Hay, Maple Products, and Maple Syrup. Of course, if you
prefer such info in hardcopy, you can see the list, as well as other Ag news, in
the February 1st issue of Agriview, the semi-monthly pub put out by the
State's Food & Markets division of the Dept. of Agriculture. ... Vermont
