Out the Charlotte Road, we passed Mt. Philo Road and
Charlotte Central School, then crossed Route 7 onto the Ferry Road.
We lucked out. ...
As soon as we pulled up to the Charlotte Ferry and got
out of the van, the ferry was coming in. |

Back out the Ferry Road, we turned onto Route 7 south
and made our way to Mount Philo.
With the sun lowering toward the Adirondacks, the view
of the Lake & Mountains was nothing short of spectacular. ... |
| As we were getting ready to leave Mount
Philo, we heard some laughter from up the road. ... On their
way down were Lyn & David Perrin of Charlotte.
We talked for a bit, then asked if we could take their picture.
They graciously agreed. {Hope you like it Lyn & David.
It was a pleasure meeting you.} |

|
| After parting company with Lyn & David, we continued down Route 7
to 22A into Downtown Vergennes.
This Littlest City has been getting quite a face lift lately.
And the beautiful light only made it seem all the more inviting.

We drove 22A south ... past a couple of miles of construction ... to
Addison, then hung a right onto 17.
We knew it was too early for the snow geese, but we wanted to check
out the Dead Creek Flyway anyway. ... |
| Next we continued down 17 toward Chimney Point.
We had every intention of getting a picture of the bridge; but we got
distracted by these guys. They came lumbering up to the fence,
probably even more curious about us than we were about them ...
and we were pretty curious. |
