*Some Notes on Image Quality: Image quality can vary considerably from one computer to another -- depending on your video card, screen resolution settings and monitor.  As a result, colors may not display as accurately on some machines, while on others, the shape of the image may become slightly distorted.  Please be aware, then, that these images are only intended to give you some idea of the artist's work, and that nothing should substitute for trying to see the work at first hand.

Also, we have set the image size so that it will display in a full window on the lowest VGA setting [640x480].  However, even at 640x480, if you have enlarged your Taskbar, or if you have other programs that sit on the borders of your screen, you may need to minimize them in order to view the full image.  Those with higher screen settings [e.g., 800x600 or larger] should not have a problem seeing the full image.

Finally, we have used *.jpg images for two reasons.  First, the quality of the image is generally better than *.gif, the other standard image format for web pictures.  But also, *.jpg images can be compressed, sometimes significantly, without sacrificing too much image quality.  This compression will decrease download times.  We use a compression ratio of 64% for the thumbnails and 76% for the larger images.  The result for the larger images is pages that will download with the image in a frame in about 10 seconds.  ...  Thanks.
